LVT: flooring with beauty and brains

LVT means luxury vinyl tile. It’s thicker, has more vibrant images with texturing to add depth and dimension, with a choice of matte and gloss finishes.

L&M Floors, a family-owned company, has been a major retailer of carpet, hardwood, laminate, tile, luxury vinyl, and sheet vinyl for over 40 years.

To quote a popular designer battle cry: “Design from the floor up!” We don’t just sell flooring, but we help educate people on how to improve their homes.

We love LVT. It’s the best of all worlds, stylish enough for even the most high-end home, yet still budget-friendly and waterproof. We’re also a Tarkett Elite Dealer. Tarkett is one of the most well-known manufacturers of vinyl flooring.

We invite you to come into our flooring store to see our LVT inventory. Our showroom is in McMinnville, TN but we also service Smithville, Woodbury, Warren County, Coffee County, DeKalb County, Rutherford County, and Van Buren County.

Be sure to ask about our free in-home estimate. We ship nationwide, too.

The look of wood, tile, or stone

You can get any of this: It's cut into tile-sized pieces and photography is done digitally so it's clear. You'll be able to see every knot, raised grain, veining, and pattern. Embossing can give it a wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, or antiqued appearance.

If you have a high moisture room, such as a bath, laundry room, or a leaky kitchen then you won’t be able to install wood. With LVT you can still have that wood look but with a waterproof material.

Just because it's waterproof doesn’t mean you can’t use it elsewhere. We’ve been seeing it in every room in the house, including the bedroom.

Other benefits:

  • Durability. This is layered, with the top being a clear, tough, plastic wear sheet. It protects the floor from scratches and scuffs and it’s stain-resistant. It's strong, so it's often recommended for homes with kids and pets.
  • DIY-friendly installation. Another way to save money! With a few exceptions, it can be placed over most subfloors, and the pieces can either be clicked or glued.
  • Easy care. Sweep with a soft broom and periodically mop with a manufacturer-approved cleaner.
  • Comfort. Soft and pliable, it’s easy to stand on for long periods, such as when you’re in the kitchen preparing a big meal.
